Seeing Sound

Seeing Sound is an interactive exhibition that explores the relationship between music and color, transforming sound into a visual and tactile experience. This exhibition invites visitors to compose music through color, creating real-time visual compositions that transpose musical keys into paintings.

Interactive Exhibition

At the core of the experience is an interactive installation where participants use a digital interface to generate sound while simultaneously painting with projected visuals. By blending design, music theory, and technology, Seeing Sound bridges the gapbetween auditory and visual perception.

“By blending design, music theory, and technology, Seeing Sound bridges the gap between auditory and visual perception.”

Publication Design

A Visual Guide to Songwriting is an illustrated workbook that walks readers through songwriting, from lyrics and chord progressions to melody, arrangement, and recording. The book uses clear explanations, practical exercises, and personal examples. It employs a consistent grid, custom infographics, and a clear typographic hierarchy, with defined margins, color accents, and type scales to demonstrate publication design. This practical guide combines music theory instruction with layout principles, helping designers and artists write songs step by step.

Creative Coding

I built the interactive sound-and-color system in TouchDesigner by mapping keyboard input messages from a custom remote to control both audio playback and real-time visuals.
