Baltimore State of the City, 2026

I developed the full visual language and motion system for SOTC 2026, translating civic storytelling into an immersive, large-scale narrative.

Centered around the theme “Building Together, Block by Block,” the address highlighted Baltimore’s progress across housing, public safety, infrastructure, and community investment . My role was to visually interpret this message in real time, designing a system that could carry both data and emotion across a live audience and broadcast viewers.

Projected Animations

I created a series of animated stage visuals, collage-based imagery, and typographic compositions that layered iconic Baltimore references with bold, legible messaging. The visual approach blended editorial collage with motion design to reflect the complexity and resilience of Baltimore.

Showcasing Statistics

Working across Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe After Effects, I designed and animated all on-stage content, ensuring clarity at scale while maintaining a cohesive visual identity throughout the presentation.

Showtime

In addition to design and animation, I operated as show director during the live event—running cues, advancing slides, and syncing visuals to the pacing of the speech and guest appearances. The production was staged at Baltimore Center Stage, where the address was presented in a theatrical format, integrating speakers, storytelling, and visuals into a single experience.
