Typolyrics - Album Cover Series

This project explores the intersection of music and motion through a series of black-and-white album covers designed for three songs by artist Maude Lautor. Each cover visually interprets the youthful energy and emotional turbulence of heartbreak in New York City, capturing fleeting moments of love, loss, and self-discovery.

Designed with a bold monochrome palette, the covers use high-contrast typography, abstract imagery, and expressive compositions to evoke the raw emotion of each track. Motion design in After Effects brings the visuals to life, layering subtle distortions, rhythmic pulses, and dynamic transitions that mirror the music’s intensity. The result is a cohesive yet distinct set of covers that embody the highs and lows of navigating relationships in the city that never sleeps.
